Information We Collect
Account & Profile Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Full name and email address
- NCLEX exam date (optional, user-provided)
- Study preferences and goals (optional)
- Subscription and billing information (processed by our payment provider; we do not store raw card numbers)
Study Activity & Performance Information
We automatically collect information about how you use the platform:
- Study session data, questions answered, and accuracy rates
- Time spent using the platform and feature usage
- AI tutor conversation content (to provide responses)
- Progress analytics and performance scores
Device & Technical Information
- Device type, browser type, and operating system
- IP address (used for security and approximate location)
- Cookies and similar technologies (see Cookie Policy)
Voice & Audio Information (When Voice Features Are Used)
If you use the voice-enabled study features, we process your speech input to provide transcription and AI responses. Audio is processed in real-time and is not stored long-term unless you explicitly save a session.
User-Generated Content
Content you voluntarily submit to study groups, support tickets, or other interactive features.
How We Use Your Information

AI Processing Disclosure
Some content on NCLEX Prep AI is generated, assisted, summarized, or personalized using artificial intelligence. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or inaccuracies. Users must independently verify important information against authoritative nursing, clinical, educational, and examination resources. AI-generated responses are provided for educational and study purposes only and should not be used as a substitute for professional clinical judgment, institutional protocols, physician orders, nursing policies, drug references, or other authoritative sources. The AI tutor does not represent itself as a licensed nurse, physician, pharmacist, or other healthcare professional.
Your study questions, AI tutor conversations, and performance data may be processed by AI systems to generate educational responses, explanations, and personalized recommendations. AI providers used by the platform process this data as service providers under applicable data processing agreements.
We do not knowingly use your personal data to train third-party AI models for general use. AI processing is performed to deliver the service to you. If you have questions about AI processing, contact support@nclexprepai.com.
Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We share information only with service providers who help operate the platform, and as required by law. Actual third-party providers include:

Purpose: Application hosting, database, authentication, and backend services
Data: Account information, study data, profile information

Stripe
Purpose: Payment processing and subscription billing
Data: Billing name, email, payment tokens (card data is handled by Stripe, not stored by NCLEX Prep AI)

OpenAI / Google / Anthropic (via Base44)
Purpose: AI-powered tutoring, question generation, and content assistance
Data: User prompts, study questions, conversation context

Purpose: Public file and image storage

Notice: NCLEX Prep AI does not sell personal information as defined by California law. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If this changes, we will provide an opt-out mechanism.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law:
Active user accounts
Retention: Until account deletion is requested
Notes: Users can request deletion at any time
Study activity and progress
Retention: Lifetime of account + 30 days post-deletion
Notes: Removed after account deletion grace period
Billing and payment records
Retention: 7 years
Notes: Retained as required by tax and financial regulations
Support tickets and communications
Retention: 3 years
Notes: For quality and dispute resolution
Security and audit logs
Retention: 1-2 years
Notes: For security and fraud prevention
Privacy requests

Data Security

Children's Privacy
NCLEX Prep AI is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact support@nclexprepai.com and we will delete it.
Do Not Submit Patient Information
Important: Do not submit real patient identifying information or other confidential clinical information into AI prompts, study groups, or other fields. NCLEX Prep AI is an educational platform and is not designed to process protected health information (PHI).
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification. The effective date above indicates when this version was last updated.
